The SMT placement machine nozzle can pick up and place components
of different shapes and sizes in different ways. When the vacuum
pressure is generated, the negative pressure of the suction nozzle
will suck the components out of the supply system. When the suction
nozzle sucks the vital parts, the system will determine that the
suction nozzle has successfully sucked the components only when the
specified vacuum degree is reached. When components stand sideways
or materials are thrown, causing the suction nozzle to fail to
successfully pick up the components, the SMT placement machine will
send out an alarm signal. When our nozzle picks up the components
and attaches them to the PCB, we usually use two methods to place
them. One is to mount according to the height we entered in the
system in advance. When the placement head of our SMT placement
machine drops to the set height, the vacuum is released and the
components are placed on the pads. Generally we do not use this
method because it is inflexible. Another method is to achieve a
soft landing of placement under the action of the pressure sensor
due to the instantaneous reaction between the nozzle and the PCB
board, so that our placement is easier and smoother. The suction
nozzle is a piece of equipment that we often use in production and
placement. It is often in contact with components and will be worn
and damaged over time. Therefore, the material and structure of the
suction nozzle of SMT placement machines are receiving more and
more attention. In the early days, alloy materials were used, and
later they were changed to carbon fiber wear-resistant plastic
materials. More advanced nozzles use ceramic materials and diamond
to make the nozzles more.
SMT (Surface Mount Technology) nozzle is an important tool used in
automated placement equipment for electronic components, used to
pick up and place small electronic components. There are many types
of SMT nozzles according to different needs, common ones include:
