What's the difference between American UPVC double-hung windows and UPVC

sliding windows?

Opening method: American UPVC double-hung windows use a vertical opening up

and down, while UPVC sliding windows have a left and right sliding opening. Lift-and-pull

windows can provide a larger opening area, usually up to 1/2 or even more opening,

resulting in better ventilation and views. In contrast, sliding windows usually open no more

than half the area.

Ventilation: Because the opening height of a UPVC double-hung window can be designed

to be close to human height, ventilation and comfort are greatly enhanced. The ventilation

effect of sliding windows is limited by the opening area.
