This Cisco GLC-EX-SM1550-40 compatible transceiver is designed for 1000BASE-EX Gigabit Ethernet transmission, operating on standard single-mode fiber-optic link spans of up to 40km in length. This compatible 1000BASE-EX fiber optic transceiver consists of three sections: a DFB laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA), and an MCU control unit. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.
This 1000BASE-EX SFP module has been programmed and tested to be fully compatible with the Cisco GLC-EX-SM1550-40 transceiver, which can be applied to a wide range of Cisco equipment.
