ASTM D2570 Simulated Service Corrosion Tester For Engine Coolants

Introduction

The sample circulates for 1064h at 88 ºC and a certain flow rate in a closed system composed of a reservoir, a water pump, a radiator and rubber pipes. Its corrosion resistance is determined by the weight loss of typical metal test pieces used in the engine cooling system installed in the reservoir and the state surface of the internal surface of each component visually. The performance change of the sample is determined by analyzing the samples taken from the system regularly during the test cycle.

1. The Simulated Service Corrosion Tester is composed of operation and display, heating control, speed control, pressure control, flow control system and supporting components;
2. Motor: used for coolant circulation drive, linked with water pump;
3. Water pump: provide the circulation flow required by the standard;
4. Condenser: reduce the test pressure to simulate the automobile working condition;
5. Metal test piece: simulate metal corrosion working conditions;
