1. Description of Molybdenum Alloy Rod For Aerospace Industry:
Molybdenum-rhenium alloy rod is an alloy composed of metal molybdenum as the base element and alloying element rhenium. The alloy exhibits a rhenium effect that improves plasticity, and the rhenium content in the alloy is generally 11% to 50% (mass fraction).
Both molybdenum and rhenium are refractory metals. Combining the two components, the molybdenum-rhenium alloy has the high temperature physical properties of rhenium, the good mechanical properties of molybdenum, and the inherent excellent properties of molybdenum-rhenium alloy.
The rolling deformation can reach 90%. Molybdenum can be added with 47.5% or 41% rhenium to form a molybdenum-rhenium alloy (nominal composition of 50%Mo+50%Re), which greatly improves its ductility, weldability and formability.
Molybdenum-Rhenium alloys retain good ductility even after high temperatures.
