Dynamic Industrial Push Back Pallet Racking System for Warehouse Storage

Our push-back racking combines standard selective pallet racking with a system of trolleys and rails on horizontal support beams. It consists of a series of low-profile trolleys fixed to the track, nested side by side at the front of the system.

The first pallet is placed on the highest trolley. As the next pallet is loaded into the system, it pushes the load of the previous pallet into the system, thus exposing the next pallet of trolleys. The last pallet is placed on the track. A 6-deep push-back racking system will therefore have only 5 carts.

When unloading, the stacking rack simply removes the first pallet and the following pallets are rolled to the front of the lane and removed at a slow and controlled speed. If you send a stopwatch on a lift truck driver operating in a drive-in rack system compared to a push-back rack system, you will see that push back rack can save a great deal of time compared to selective pallet rack or drive-in pallet rack. These time savings add up to over a year and can translate into huge savings and a much shorter return on investment.
