NJQ Series mud mixing gun on mud tank system for solids control of drilling rig

Mud guns are also referred to as jet mixers. Mud gun mainly jets drilling fluids with high pressure inside mud tanks, in a bid to avert depositing solid phase at each corner of mud tank and pump inlets and to deliver drilling fluids amongst compartments.

The length of mud gun defined by mud tank depth or height. Similar to the shaft on mud agitator. Mud guns connect with the mud gun lines on the tank top. The line is 2'' or 3''. The mud gun inlet is 2'' or 3'' accordingly. Besides the mud gun length and diameter, the mud gun nozzles and rotatable or not are also customizable.

Nozzle number of mud guns can be 1 or 2, or 3. And the Pressure can be normal pressure or middle pressure or high pressure. Mud gun is made of high-quality seamless pipe connected with flange and valve and the bottom polyurethane nozzle. The rotation angle can be 0~360°. Some clients prefer the rotatable mud gun since to mix mud without a dead corner. And more flexible on jet position.

What difference between different types of mud guns?

The bottom type mud guns are connected with bottom mud line and the nozzles are at a higher position, while the non-spin type is designed for mixing large volumes of fluids on top of tank or pit also for transferring mud from compartment to another. It's more flexible to install a mud gun in any position necessary.

We also have made a mud gun with 4'' pipe. And the pressure range is 0.1Mpa~6.4Mpa. Higher pressure will perform better and safe jet work during drilling fluids mixing by mud guns. The mud gun assembly including handle, valve, flange, pipe, nozzle. On the rotatable mud gun, there is a bearing between the elbow and the submerged pipe.
