Timer drains are electrically operated units in which an adjustable timer periodically opens a valve to remove accumulated condensate. Timer drains are basic components used in most compressed air systems because they provide an inexpensive, reliable means of removing condensate without having to manually open drains’ valves. Timer drains are used on filters, air receivers, air dryers, separators, aftercoolers, and other compressed air system components.

They come equipped with valve and strainer to prevent entry of larger condensate, and a drain for the automatic removal of moisture. It has an integral strainer to prevent clogging and saves time and money by eliminating the need for manual draining. The automatic drain valve also eliminates the need for the wasteful practice of bleeding, or leaving cracked open manual drain valves. With adjustable valve open and cycle time settings, all series drain valves can be set for your operating conditions. The valve open time may be set for 0.5 to 10 seconds and the cycle time may be set for 0.5 to 45 minutes.
