Manufacturing Technical of Stainless Steel Tee

Stainless steel butt welding tee can be into seamless and ERW pipe fittings, seamless tee fittings are made from seamless stainless steel pipes, ERW tee fittings are made by ERW steel pipes while welded large diameter fittings are produced by stainless steel plates.Both of them are manufactured according to ASME B16.9.

Forged stainless steel tee can be divided into socket weld tee and threaded pipe tee, both types are forged by steel rod which according to ASME B16.11

Standard of Steel Pipe Fittings

ASME B16.9 Standard covers overall dimensions, tolerances, ratings, testing, and markings for factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings in sizes NPS 1 ∕ 2 through NPS 48 (DN 15 through DN 1200). It covers fittings of any producible wall thickness. This standard does not cover low pressure corrosion resistant buttwelding fittings.

ASME B16.11 Standard covers ratings, dimensions, tolerances, marking and material requirements for socket-welding and threaded forged fittings. These fittings are designated as Class 2000, 3000, and 6000 for threaded end fittings and Class 3000, 6000, and 9000 for socket-weld end fittings.
