The inner ring of an N design bearing has two integral flanges while the outer ring has no flanges. Axial displacement of the

shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated in both directions.
NJ design
The outer ring of an NJ design bearing has two integral flanges and the inner ring has one integral flange. These bearings

can locate the shaft axially in one direction.
NUP design
The outer ring of an NUP design bearing has two integral flanges and the inner ring has one integral flange and one non-

integral flange in the form of a loose flange ring. These bearings can be used as locating bearings to locate the shaft axially

in both directions.
The cylindrical roller bearing with a high load capacity, to operate at high speed application, because they use roller as their
