How does it work?

• UV300F Automatic car surveillance camera basically comprises of a scanning unit, a works station and a barrier. It uses hard rubber pads and axle guides for the mobile system as well as steel construction for the static system.
• The scanning unit consists of a line camera, a mirror and an infrared LED lighting unit. Only the tilted mirror technique facilitates the reduced depth of the scanning unit and additionally prevents pollution from the camera lens.

• The incoming vehicle initiates the scanning process at the entry through induction loops. Through a small slit in the scanning unit, the high resolution camera captures the entire undercarriage while the vehicle is in motion over the unit. In order to display the underside to scale, different heights of under carriages (car/truck) as well as the vehicle length are taken into account.
• In order to simplify the correlation between the underside image and the corresponding vehicles, a front end image capture camera as well as automatic license plate reader is integrated.
  In real time, the underside is displayed as high resolution image on the control monitor. The software provides security staff with all collected vehicle data on the screen e.g. underside image, front end image, license plate number, date and time, lane number etc. Any additional information can be entered manually.
• The step less zooming functionality permits the display of details up to a size of 5 mm (0.2”) on the underside. This facilitates fast and easy identification and examination of potentially dangerous objects.
  All the data collected or manually entered can be stored in a database under the vehicle license plate number as a record. In case of recurring vehicles, the software enables security staff to compare the current underside image with an already archived image of the same vehicle on the screen. Potential deviations can thus be identified at a glance.
