Pneumatic Yokohama Rubber Fenders 4.5m x 9.0m STS Ship Berthing Fender

Pneumatic yokohama rubber fender is a bumper filled with air as bumping media. Impact energy is absorbed by compressed air so that the ship can berth softly to protect the ship from bumping.This fender is featured with high strength,friction resistance, high energy absorption and low force reaction.It is widely used for oil tankers,container vessels,yachts,ocean platforms, large wharf,naval ports,etc.

Pneumatic yokohama rubber fender construction:

A] Out rubber are used to protect the cord layers and inner rubber layer from abrasion and other external forces. This rubber compound have sufficient tensile and tear resistance strength to withstand anticipated weather conditions and severe usage.

B] Middle reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layers strong enough to maintain the internal air pressure of the fender

C] Inner rubber layer seals the pressurized air inside the fender

D] The fender equipped with safety valve for releasing excess internal pressure when the fenders are over-compressed accidentally.

The marine pneuamtic fender can be protected by tire net and can be used without tire net as well. Normally the large size's pneumatic yokohama fender equipted with tire chain net cover to protect the fender main body. We can follow customers' requirment using areo tyre as a more strengthen cover for the fender.

Pneumatic yokohama fender body is covered with a tire net.It can protect the fender body and lengthen the life span of the fender.

Testing and inspection for pneumatic yokohama fender:

1] Material test of rubber : Conducted in accordance with the Physical properties of inner and outer rubber required by ISO 17357:2014
2] Dimensional inspection : shall be inspected at the initial internal pressure. Tolerance: +10%, -5%.
3] Air leakage test : shall be conducted at initial pressure for more than 30 min
4] Hydrostatic-pressure test : shall be performed for 10 min at the hydrostatic pressure shown in “test pressure at 0% deflection”. Maximum temporary elongation: 10%
