The O2500-4 card is used as a line card in the system to implement the access and processing of four STM-16 optical interface services.

Provides four STM-16 optical interfaces.
Supports transparent transmission of overheads.
Supports the test on performance such as optical power, laser bias current and bit error.
Implements the multiplexing and demultiplexing of the signal.
Supports the SOH processing and supports all the defined SOH bytes (such as A1, A2, J0, B1, B2, S1, M1, H1, H2, H3, E1, E2, F1, D1 to D12, K1 and K2).
Supports monitoring of the higher order path overheads (such as J1, B3, C2 and G1).
Supports the equipment loopback and line loopback tests.
Supports the seamless switch between the active and standby clock and crossconnect cards.
Supports hot insertion at the optical interface.
Supports the automatic shutdown of the laser.
