Bakelite Phenolic resins Powder are prepared from a mixture of CNSL(Cashew Nutshell Liquid),which the main constituents is Unsaturated Alkylphenols, and phenol with formaldehyde under acidic condition. The Unsaturated Alkylphenols condensed with formaldehyde through the phenolic nuclei, and polymerised through the unsaturated side-chains, which induces a plasticizing action, that will increase the flexibility of the resin.The obtained resin is novolac resin and milled into powder and re-mixed with Hexa.

Application

it is recommended for the production of friction materials(disk pads,brake linings and clutch facings) required improved stability at high temperature and low wear,reduced noise and judder.
