The SRX-MA333 oxygen sensor operates based on the electrochemical principle of the primary battery. Its core is a micro fuel cell system composed of a special cathode, anode, and proprietary electrolyte. It is comparable to the micro oxygen sensor of the American AII company. When oxygen molecules in the measured gas pass through the diffusion barrier and reach the interior of the sensor, a reduction reaction occurs at the cathode (usually made of a noble metal catalytic material): O₂ + 2H₂O + 4e⁻ → 4OH⁻. Simultaneously, an oxidation reaction occurs at the anode (lead or other active metals): 2Pb + 4OH⁻ → 2PbO + 2H₂O + 4e⁻. This spontaneous electrochemical reaction process generates an electric current signal proportional to the oxygen concentration. By measuring this current, the oxygen content can be accurately calculated.
