Working Principle of Internal Mixer

Inside the mixing chamber, the two rotors rotate at a specific speed ratio relative to each other, drawing the material from the feeding port into the gap between the rollers. There, it is subjected to strong squeezing and shearing forces. After passing through the roller gap, the material strikes the sharp “W”-shaped edge of the mixing chamber and splits into two streams, which flow along the gaps between the front and rear chamber walls and the rotors before returning to the top area. Within the sealed chamber, the material undergoes intense shearing and mixing under controlled pressure and temperature, ensuring that all components in the formulation are thoroughly dispersed and plasticized, allowing the formulation to achieve optimal performance.


Product Superiority

  1. The mixer uses elliptic shear rotors, whose surfaces are coated with wear-resistant surfacing hard alloy. The inner walls of the mixing chamber are treated with hard chrome plating, providing excellent resistance to wear and corrosion, thereby extending the equipment’s service life.

  2. A circulating channel structure is designed to enable the flow of heating or cooling media through the rotor, mixing chamber, and top ram. Depending on production needs, temperature control can be achieved using steam, oil, electric heating, or cooling water.

  4. The top ram applies pressure to the material through a pneumatic cylinder, ensuring uniform kneading and improving production efficiency. A. Changfeng’s anti-leakage powder system utilizes a mechanical shaft seal compression design combined with a self-lubricating sealing ring. This ensures the ring remains tightly sealed throughout the mixing process. The self-lubricating feature minimizes wear on the mixing components and effectively reduces noise issues—such as whistling—caused by leakage or inadequate sealing.

B. The inner structure of the mixing chamber features a complex tubular belt design that provides excellent heat exchange and precise temperature regulation.
