Product Description:
3240: A High-Performance Electrical Insulation Laminate
The Phenolic Epoxy Glass Fiber Laminate 3240 provides outstanding
electrical and mechanical performance. This alkali-free reinforced
laminate, with its Class B thermal stability, is the ideal choice
for manufacturing critical insulation components and structural
parts. It performs consistently even in challenging operating
environments, including high humidity and immersion in transformer
oil.
Advantages:
- Excellent Dielectric Strength & Stability: Combines high perpendicular electric strength (≥14.2 kV/mm at 90°C
in oil) with low relative permittivity (≤5.5 at 50Hz), ensuring
reliable insulation against breakdown and minimal energy loss for
enhanced operational efficiency.
- Superior Mechanical Durability: Features a high-density (≥1.8 g/cm³), robust structure that
provides exceptional long-term mechanical strength, making it ideal
for demanding applications.
- Impeccable Surface Quality: The smooth, defect-free surface facilitates easy installation and
prevents performance issues such as partial discharges,
guaranteeing consistent quality and long-term reliability.

Applications:
- Ideal for Transformers: Relies on its exceptional dielectric strength (both parallel and
perpendicular) for internal insulation.
- Critical for Switchgear: Valued for its mechanical durability and impact resistance in
high-strength environments.
- Essential for Busbar Supports: Ensures stable power distribution thanks to its low and stable
permittivity.
