5 3/8" IADC537 roller cone drill bit (approximately 136.5mm diameter) is a tri-cone insert (TCI) drill bit, IADC 537 is designed for soft to medium-hard formations (such as mudstone, sandstone, limestone, and hard shale). Its core function is to crush rock formations through the impact of rotating cones, making it widely used in oil, gas, and geothermal drilling operations.

Efficient Drilling: The ROP (Rate of Penetration) can reach 8-12 meters per hour in mudstone-sandstone interbeds, a 25% improvement over similar products.

1. Optimized Cutting Structure
Tungsten Carbide Cutters (TCI): Utilizes high-toughness tungsten carbide cutters with a tooth surface hardness exceeding HRC85 and compressive strength suitable for formations of 15,000-25,000 psi, extending drill bit life by 40% compared to steel cutters.

Cut Layout: Staggered cutter placement reduces vibration, and lateral nozzles (3-4) enhance cutting efficiency and reduce repetitive cutting losses.

2. Bearing and Sealing System

Double Thrust Bearing: Carbide journals with a silver-plated anti-friction coating offer a temperature resistance of up to 200°C and a speed range of 50-120 rpm.
Rubber Seals + Elastic Compensation: Bimetallic seals and O-rings prevent mud intrusion, while a grease compensation system ensures long-term bearing lubrication.

3. Enhanced Adaptability
Gage Protection: A tungsten carbide block is embedded in the tail of the cutter to prevent wear on the wellbore wall and maintain a stable borehole diameter. Modular design: supports adjustment of the number of nozzles (3-6) and spray angle, suitable for water-based or oil-based mud systems.
