Introduction:

White crystalline powder. Melting point 175-175.5℃. Soluble in hot alcohol, glacial acetic acid, very slightly soluble in water. Gradually turns red in the air.

Uses:

Used as analytical reagent, redox indicator, adsorption indicator, complex indicator and chromatographic analysis reagent. It is used as a redox indicator for the colorimetric determination of chromium, mercury, lead, determination of dichromate, an adsorption indicator for the mercury titration determination of chloride and cyanide, and for the verification of cadmium, copper, iron, molybdenum and vanadium, etc.
