FM200 (HFC-227ea) Clean Agent, as an efficient fire extinguishing
agent specially designed for high-risk scenarios such as oil
depots, has become an upgraded alternative to traditional carbon
dioxide (CO₂) fire extinguishing agents with its unique chemical
suppression mechanism and safety features. Compared with CO₂, its
core advantages directly address the pain points of oil depot fire
protection:
Advantages of fire extinguishing speed and concentration: The FM200
Clean Agent only requires a concentration of 9-10% to extinguish
Class B (oil) and Class E (electrical) fires within 8 seconds,
while CO₂ needs to reach a concentration of more than 34%. The
latter is not only difficult to quickly reach an effective
fire-extinguishing concentration in the enclosed space of the oil
depot, There is also a risk of suffocation for on-site operators
due to oxygen deficiency.
Upgraded anti-reignition capability: FM200 Clean Agent achieves
fire extinguishing by interrupting the combustion chain reaction.
The agent molecules can be adsorbed on the oil surface to form a
microfilm layer that inhibits evaporation and reduces the
probability of reignition. CO₂ extinguishes fire only through
physical suffocation. If the oil surface temperature does not drop
