What is Nerve Myelin Stain(Luxol Fast Blue Method) ?

Myelin sheath is a tubular sheath that wraps outside the nerve axon. It is segmental, that is, the axon is wrapped segment by segment, and the semi-naked narrow part between every two segments has no myelin sheath, which is called Nodes of Ranvier. Luxol Fast Blue staining solution can show changes such as degeneration, disintegration and loss of myelin sheath under pathological conditions.
