(5) According to the quality of steel can be divided into ordinary carbon steel (containing phosphorus, sulphur higher), high-quality carbon steel (containing phosphorus, sulphur lower) and high-quality steel (containing phosphorus, sulphur lower) and high-quality steel.

Low carbon steel - carbon content is generally less than 0.25 per cent; medium carbon steel - carbon content is generally between 0.25 and 0.60 per cent; high carbon steel - carbon content is generally greater than 0.60 per cent. Steel contains carbon (C) elements and for deoxidation and contains a certain amount of silicon (Si) (generally not more than 0.40%), manganese (Mn) (generally not more than 0.80%, higher can be up to 1.20%) alloying elements, does not contain other alloying elements (except for residual elements).
