What is Pneumatic Marine Fender?

Structure characteristics of the pneumatic rubber fender

LuHang Pneumatic Rubber Fenders consist of an outer rubber layer, a reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layer, and an inner rubber layer, firmly vulcanized.

A. Outer rubber protects cord layers and inner rubber from abrasion and external forces. The rubber compound has sufficient tensile and tear resistance for weather and heavy use.

B. The cord layer is strong enough to maintain fender's internal air pressure.

C. Inner rubber seals pressurized air inside.

D. Fenders 2500mm and larger have a safety valve for excess pressure release if over-compressed.

Metal end fender assembly is clamped by inner and outer flanges with bolts and nuts. Center is a valve like an automobile tire valve.

The Chain Tire Net is equipment to protect the fender body. The tires are mostly used truck tires. But for jumbo fenders, Aircraft tires are used for a better protection:
