1. Introduction

Tinned steel plate (commonly known as tinplate) is a steel product that can be stamped with a thin steel plate as the matrix, and is coated with tin on its surface and has a multi-layer protective film (layer). It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxic, tasteless, surface gloss, light weight, high strength (relative to paper, wood, composite materials), easy to paint, easy to weld and process molding, and strong adaptability to environmental temperature. Therefore, more than 70% of the total output of tinned steel plates is used for food and beverage packaging. 2. Features of ETP Products

Properties
A. Tinplate is characterized by its thin gauge, which is between 0.13mm and 0.49mm.
B. Tinning of the tinplate is achieved in a continuous electrolytic process.

Advantages
In addition to thin gauge, the tinplate also boasts mechanical properties with a wide range from 230 to 620MPa. Hence, it suits the needs in multiple forming processes and various industries.

The tinplate is available in varied surface finishes, with three different levels of roughness.

Like other steel, tinplate is easy for recycling in line with environmental protection requirements.
